falling, followed by hail. I sent Calli to the window to observe the scene...Ashley: "Do you see the hail falling outside? It is hitting our outside table and bouncing to the ground."
Calli: "I see it. I see the hails."
At this point, Dan came from the bedroom toward the front door. It was time for him head off to his weekly evening with the youth of our church.
Calli: "Dad, it's hails out there!"
Dan: "It's hailing out there! I am going to get all wet."
Calli: "The hails is hitting your car!"
Dan: "Oh no, I'll have to be careful."
Dan left, the hail stopped and the rain soon thereafter. The next morning, we woke up to nice spring weather.
Calli: "Mom, is Holland going to hit Daddy's car?"
Ashley: "What?"
Calli: "No, is Hales going to hit our Daddy's car?"
Ashley: "Um, Hales is a prophet. Hail is the small ice pieces that were falling from the sky last night. It isn't hailing anymore."
Obviously, Calli is really interested in the apostles. She can identify or spontaneously name most of them, occasionally calling "Uchtdorp" on the phone.
Her enthusiasm is a blessing in our home and the words of these inspired men and other church leaders give me peace, joy and guidance. Right now, I am feeling so blessed...

What a cute story! I love that she knows the apostles by name. Super cute!
Precious! You will be so glad that you wrote this story down... and even more glad as you watch your sweet daughter grow up righteously! You are obviously doing something right!
Way better than their numbers, ABC's, and colors!...awesome.

Wow. I'm still working on getting my 3 year old to say "hi" to the bus driver and count past 4. Way to set the bar high, Calli. Poor Luke...that's all I have to say.
