have we seen this already!I have several reasons, but I think their biggest problem is their conference. The MWC is not as strong as others and even though BYU can always compete in conference play, they get into the Big Dance and BAM! They are hit with teams who play quicker, stronger and differently. The Cougars appear to have no idea how to cope with these kind of teams-- they freeze. We see it every March.
Dan and I filled out a bracket together and I told him we should not pick BYU to win if we want an accurate one. He said, "It would be a shame if they actually win this year and we didn't pick them." I should have known better.
So, I am deciding to boycott BYU . No measly donation from me until they decide to push their way into the PAC10 or something. They need to play more competitively with tougher teams all season long before the tournament. That way it won't be such a shock when they get out in the real world.
Come on Cougars, it's time to up your game! Who's with me?

Every year I have 'BYU regret'. At least I only believed in them for one round. I think I read somewhere that they hold the record for most appearances in the tournament w/o a final 4.

i always thought we were required to put them through to the next round of the tourney. fight the urge to give up on the good guys in blue - it's our destiny to be disappointed year after year.
If BYU gets into the PAC-10 they won't have to worry about getting into the tournament...they just need to take their hands of their throats the night before the game!
