EASTER COME!

T'was the night before Easter and all through the valley,

No one was stirring except, of course, Calli.

It was bedtime and Grandma was in town.

Too many exciting things going on to settle down.

In attempt to teach her about important things in life,

She'd been shown some pictures of Mary (pronounced "Monies") and the resurrected Christ.

"Tomorrow Easter will come...", said Mommy,

"maybe a treat will be left for you by the Bunny."

Calli didn't seem to care, so into bed she went,

Until she realized what had been said.

Then up went her feet, pushing off from the rail,

Forcefully trying to stay out of crib jail.

Shouting and wailing and not like a song,

The darling was yelling, "Easter come!"

Now this was a surprise to all around,

Before in her dialogue, nothing about Easter was found.

Through some giggles Mom said, "Easter will
come TOMORROW."

Calli was put to bed, much to her sorrow.

It all worked out and she slept in peace.

Sure enough the next morning, Calli found her
treat.
