NESTING

While I am running around getting ready for the little one to come, I am reminding myself to not neglect the one I already have.

Calli and I have been trying to do some fun things together. Here's what we did this week...I saw this activity in Family Fun and was surprised to find something that a toddler could really do. Here's how to do it:

1) Get some clay and shape it into a bowl for the nest.

2) Gather some sticks from outside.

3) Place the sticks into the clay.

4) Add some yarn or something
inside to make a little bed for the eggs.

5) Boil and color your eggs.

7) Place the eggs inside to complete the project.

(Even if it turns out a little, um... well, homemade looking,
it's okay because your darlings
can do it almost completely by themselves).

I am no craft queen, but I liked how simple, inexpensive and relatively mess-free this was. I only had to color three eggs and I had somewhere to place them. My kind of thing...a multitasker!

Thought to remember...

because my mother...turned out to be exactly my age."

What a cute little craft! Glad you're enjoying your final days with just Calli. It's all coming so fast! I love the picture of her looking at your cute belly....

That is fantastic! I read that exact same idea and have been thinking about using as an activity to go with our egg hunt this year. I was trying to find something that I could get 9 toddlers to do on their own. P.S.- You look great!
